RJA passes Second Reading in NC House 61-55!

The NC Racial Justice Act passed the House today by a vote of 61-55.

The Racial Justice Act is a significant reform effort that will address racial disparities in capital sentencing in our state. Opponents and supporters of the death penalty can agree- no one should ever be sentenced to death based on the impermissible considerations of race.
