Tell AAA to Stop Monkeying Around with Clean Air!

September 09, 2010 Subject: Dear AAA, Please drop your support for legislation, such as HB 2141, that would block the implementation of the Pennsylvania Clean Vehicles Program. The Clean Vehicles Program will improve air quality in Pennsylvania, and is expected to help improve gas mileage and expand consumer choice. AAA should not be opposing this important program in the name of Pennsylvania's motorists. The weaker federal emission standards that would be implemented if the Clean Vehicles Program is repealed do not do enough to improve air quality, and do nothing to address high gasoline costs and poor consumer choice when it comes to high-efficiency, hybrid vehicle options.
