We, the women in the international community, are extremely concerned about a possible U.S. military attack on Iran. We have already seen the disastrous consequences of the US invasion of Iraq, especially for the women of that country, and we are determined to stop a similar fate from befalling the women of Iran. 

We call upon you, as countries with representation on the Security Council, to oppose any military action against Iran. 

* Please help ensure that tensions over Iran's nuclear program are dealt with through diplomatic channels and ensure that the Security Council does not adopt a resolution regarding Iran that gives the Bush administration cover for a military attack. 

* Please move to implement Article 14 of UN Security Council Resolution 678, which calls for a Middle East "free of weapons of mass destruction and all missiles to deliver them." This would pertain not only to Iran, but to Israel's nuclear arsenal and U.S. nuclear-armed submarines or any other nuclear weapons in the area.
