A DAY OF ACTIVISM FOR JUSTICE
Racial Justice Day at the State Capitol
Education and Advocacy on issues that represent de facto oppression of inner city communities.
It will be about ALL the legislation that a number of grassroots organizations have submitted this year -- prison oversight, lost & stolen guns, juvenile issues, school zones, medical marijuana, housing, environmental justice, electric rates, health care, etc.
We need to show that groups and individuals are united in one movement to demand legislative action on many justice issues.

Lie-Clocks in Heaven
A Catholic priest died and went to heaven.
As he stood in front of St. Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him.
He asked, "What are all those clocks?"
St. Peter answered, "Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on Earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie, the hands on your clock will move."
"Oh," said the man, "whose clock is that?"
"That's Mother Teresa's. The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie."
"Incredible," said the man. "And whose clock is that one?"

"Where's George W. Bush's clock?" asked the man.
"George's clock is in Jesus' office. He's using it as a ceiling fan."

New Haven Board of Aldermen to Vote on Municipal ID June 4
New Haven, Conn.'s City ID Card Program could be a national model to provide immigrants access to basic services.
Listen to the radio interview with Mike Wishnie, a Yale University law school professor, conducted by Melinda Tuhus of Between The Lines Radio.
Attend the Board of Aldermen Meeting.
Remove the impassable bureaucratic hurdles to permanent residency (requiring heads of households to return to their home countries before applying for re-entry;
Preserve the family reunification process for multi-status immigrant families;
Halt the militarization of the border and the construction of detention facilities for tens of thousands;
Eliminate the guest-worker program which provides no path to citizenship;
Stop the Department of Homeland Security from conducting workplace raids to bust union organizing drives and otherwise using paramilitary methods to terrorize our immigrant communities;
