Wednesday, May 30:
A DAY OF ACTIVISM FOR JUSTICE

Racial Justice Day at the State Capitol

Education and Advocacy on issues that represent de facto oppression of inner city communities.

It will be about ALL the legislation that a number of grassroots organizations have submitted this year -- prison oversight, lost & stolen guns, juvenile issues, school zones, medical marijuana, housing, environmental justice, electric rates, health care, etc.

We need to show that groups and individuals are united in one movement to demand legislative action on many justice issues.

Fear of the Black Man

"A perusal of some history books will show how far that hate carried white people; lynching, castration, black males burned alive. Why fear the blackman? In the final analysis it is clear how America made sure blackmen did not achieve any real power; without juice in this country you are all but invisible." -- Cornell Lewis

HUMOR

Lie-Clocks in Heaven

A Catholic priest died and went to heaven.
As he stood in front of St. Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him.
He asked, "What are all those clocks?"
St. Peter answered, "Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on Earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie, the hands on your clock will move."
"Oh," said the man, "whose clock is that?"
"That's Mother Teresa's. The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie."
"Incredible," said the man. "And whose clock is that one?"
St. Peter responded, "That's Abraham Lincoln's clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abe told only two lies in his entire life."
"Where's George W. Bush's clock?" asked the man.
"George's clock is in Jesus' office. He's using it as a ceiling fan."
