4. Identify yourself. Include your name, address and email at the conclusion of your email. If you do not identify yourself your email is wasted. Don’t waste your effort and your opinion by omitting this crucial information.

I am writing at the request of the Natural Solutions Foundation to urge you to protect my right to choose bio identical and other safe, natural and inexpensive products based on my personal decision to do so. My health and my health freedom are seriously threatened by the move by Wyeth to take away this right since it asks FDA to remove substances which directly compete with their products, Premarin and Prempro.

While the Wyeth products are so dangerous that the huge National Institute of Health Womens' Health Initiative was halted to protect women from them, they are still on the market for those women who choose to use them.  Millions of other women, however, understand their dangers and choose to support their hormone needs with safe, bio-identical molecules made for them on the prescription of the physicians.  Wyeth has submitted a Citizens Petition to eliminate the competition, not protect the consumer.  This is unacceptable and I urge the FDA to focus on its responsibility to protect consumers' well-being in preference to protecting a company's profits when those profits are derived from products so harmful that the National Institutes of Health could not allow them to continue to be used on clinical trail subjects.

Further, Bio Identical Hormones are formulated to each woman's need by compounding pharmacists so that dosages and ratios can be adjusted individually.  The result is high patient satisfaction with very low side effect or complication rates.  This contrasts sharply with Wyeth's unsuccessful competitors.

Compounding pharmacists are skilled allies in the quest for public health, relied upon by both health care practitioners and patients for formulations which make them well and keep them that way.  Like natural, low cost, safe and effective Bio Identical Hormones they need the support and backing of the FDA, not its opposition.

I strongly urge you to support my rights, that of my health care professionals and the professional activities of compounding pharmacists and reject Wyeth's attempt to use the power of a federal agency to restrain trade in its benefit and against that of the public. I urge you to champion the rights of Americans to make natural health choices.  Wyeth's Premarin and Prempro have been proven at great public expense to be both ineffective in preventing chronic disease in menopausal women and to be, in fact, dangerous drugs.  No such danger exists with Bio Identical Hormones.  They should be protected and their use encouraged.
