1. UNITY WALK and RALLY 8/29 in NYC

Saturday, August 29, 2009
Times Square @ 2PM

We will start walking from hospitals throughout New York City and converge at Times Square by 2:00 pm for a rally in support of quality, affordable health care for all.

The rally will include elected officials, leaders in the health care community, and stakeholders for our health care system.  Doctors and patients, small business owners and hospital administrators, insured and uninsured, will rally to overcome the failure of the status quo.

We need physicians and medical students to represent our profession and support health care reform!  We will conduct health screenings and mobile clinics.  We need you there, wearing your white coat and stethoscope, to hand out prescriptions for health reform.

* Sign up on the MyBo and FB, then forward to your friends:

2. TOWN HALLS

You see what's been happening at the town hall meetings all across the country, including here in NY. As a physician, you can be a powerful voice amidst the shouting and the misinformation - just with your white coats and your experience.  Come join us- there are several town hall meetings over the next 2 weeks in all boroughs.

Contact Manisha at manishaim@aol.com for more information.

3. PHONE BANKS

People are confused about what health reform means, and there's plenty of misinformation out there.  Having a physician call constituents across the country is a powerful and effective way to engage people, and it worked in the last election.  You can make the difference!  Come join us for a phone banking session.
