Take the Voters For Peace Pledge Today!

The majority of the people of this country, Iraqis, and active-duty soldiers want to see an end to the war. But rather than take a clear stand against the war, too many candidates are fudging on bringing all of the troops home now and ending the occupation of Iraq.

It's time to put every presidential and congressional candidate on notice that if they want our votes, they must take a clear, public stand on ending the Iraq war and preventing any other unjust, illegal war.

Sign the Voters for Peace Pledge by filling out the form below and forward this page to at least 10 of your friends and ask them to sign as well. You can help get hundreds of thousands of signers -- and make war and peace the central issue in the November 2008 election. To help collect signatures, download the petition by clicking here.

"I will not vote for or support any candidate for Congress or president who does not make a speedy end to the war in Iraq, and preventing any future war of aggression, a public position in his or her campaign."

You can also help build this campaign by downloading our Voters for Peace pledge form and gathering signatures in your community. Asking people to sign the pledge in person is a great way to reach outside your own network and bring more people into the antiwar movement. Just find a busy location in your community, pair up with a friend if possible, and start striking up conversations.

United for Peace and Justice is part of the new Voters For Peace project, along with many UFPJ member organizations.
