The November election results sent a clear message that Americans want a new direction in Iraq and in our own national leadership. It was a stunning repudiation of Bush's Iraq policy but our work is not done yet. Now more than ever, there is an immediate need to hold our new Congress accountable to the Peace Voters who elected them.

Take charge and write to Congress today! Tell Congress that you will be watching their first 100 days in Congress to make sure that they put Iraq as a top legislative priority. The November election results sent a clear message that Americans want a new direction in Iraq and in our own national leadership. The vast majority of Americans now want a withdrawal from Iraq and this year, as Peace Voters, they determined the outcome of the mid-term elections.

As a fellow Peace Voter, I am committed to make sure that the people we elected follow through on their promises to withdraw from Iraq and oppose future wars of aggression.  Together with the 200,000 other Americans who have made a commitment to only support pro-peace candidates, we are going to hold our new Congress accountable to the Peace Voters who elected them.  We ask that you:
1. Immediately establish a timetable to bring all U.S. troops home from Iraq over the next six months. 
2. Limit further funding of military operations in Iraq to the safe withdrawal of our troops.
3. Pursue regional diplomacy and cooperation with other countries of the Middle East for the effective development of Iraq's infrastructure and political leadership.

Congress has the power to end the U.S. occupation in Iraq and if it fails to do so, we will hold them responsible for the continued violence in Iraq. We hope that you will listen to your constituents and make a public call for the withdrawal of our troops from Iraq.
